What's the story?
Before Daila Laika there was a time where I was entirely focused on building web sites for a whole range of customers in Belgium. From the very beginning I always put emphasis on technological creativity and innovation which has led to many prototype developments like mobile brand activation tools, advanced cross-media video applications (video business directories, video recruiting web sites, a video cloud) and so much more.
In times where many things are changing for a lot of people, I decided that I should broaden my horizon and look further than only building nicely looking web sites and state-of-the-art web applications. When I met my lovely wife I realized that it was possible and together we are now raising Daila Laika as a child of both our creativity and skills.
So what I'm trying to say is that I cannot turn my back to my knowledge and experience as a technical director, so you can always contact us for creative technological projects or consultancy as well.

Project / Erasmushogeschool Brussel
Design and development of web site templates for a series of school departments.

Project / Diadermine web sites
HTML web site with custom made content management system and a lot of AJAX code, built for Diadermine skin care products in Belgium and Holland. If you like to, you can still check it out here.
Product / Flash + Drupal web sites
Full Flash web sites with direct linking, search engine indexing, back and forward buttons, template based, built on top of a Drupal CMS. You want it? You got it! And so did a lot of customers such as Quinze & Milan with web sites like quinzeandmilan.tv, studioarnequinze.tv and arnequinze.tv.
Project / Novy web sites
An extensive product catalog for Novy Belgium and France, built in Drupal, one of the most powerful and scalable open source content management systems of today, in which over the years we have gathered substantial knowledge and experience, e.g. with projects for VRT, IBBT and CD&V.
Product / VideoCloud
During the "Gentse Feesten" we were present at the AVS booth located on the Botermarkt in the center of Ghent, Belgium. Big plasma screens displayed our brand-new product called VideoCloud. Anybody who had a mobile phone with a camera and who had the MMS feature activated was able to send his own video impressions of the ongoing festivities.
Project / CD&V web site
At CD&V, one of the biggest political parties in Belgium, they understand the importance of a serious web presence. For them we developed, maintained and supported the web site templates and modules built in Drupal.
Product / Video directories
With a lot of experience in building video directories for multiple clients, it is safe to say that we are an extremely good choice for contacting if you're looking for these kind of products! Built on top of Drupal, equipped with a full-featured transcoding platform, we can deliver any kind of video application with or without advanced advertising modules.
Project / Schweppes web site
We built the very first Schweppes web site in Belgium. It showed products, events, news articles and cocktail recipes in a state of the art Flash web site. Content was fed through XML and Roularta Media Group web services. They also had numerous contests with a lot of great prizes to win.
Product / E-cards
Looking for an e-card solution with personalized video messages, animated stories, interactive screens, etc? You name it, we probably already built it :-)
Project / Spa web sites
For Spa's huge variety of mineral waters we developed a series of Flash web sites. Both corporate and brand sites were built on top of a node based XML content management system that was entirely developed in-house.
Product / Flash management tool
Tired of messing around in complicated content management tools? Wouldn't it be great if you could just put your Flash web site in "edit mode"? Not possible? Sure it is! We internally developed a mechanism to do exactly that. In this case, what you will see, is really what you will get. So no more headaches, no more switching back and forth between your admin tool and web site, just use our Flash management tool called FLAM.
Project / Scene City
Taking the Film Festival in Ghent, Belgium, as an opportunity to launch a small teaser concept, we decided to "lose" 100 books about movies in the center of town. While everybody is going to the cinemas in that period of the year, we wanted to take the scenes out of the theatre and into the city, and which medium could be better than a book to achieve this goal?
